Igor Khripunov writes on UN Resolution 1540 in Arms Control Today

Dr. Igor Khripunov, a researcher at CITS, has published a10th anniversary overview of UN Security Council Resolution 1540, which requires all UN member states to enact and enforce laws to curb the illegal spread of WMD technology. In his article, Khripunov compares expectations for UNSCR 1540 to the reality of its implementation around the world, and maps out a way forward for this process. As the editor in chief of the1540 Compass, a magazine providing a global perspective on the resolution’s impact, Khripunov provides an expert viewpoint few can match.
