This is a big question, isn’t it? Why choose SPIA over all the other excellent degree programs that UGA offers? Why decide to dedicate your life to studying all of the problems in this world, looking for solutions that might not exist? Why make this choice?
Well, I’ll tell you why.
It is because SPIA is much more than just a degree choice and a significant decision. It is a decision to change your life and invest in your future. It is a way to better yourself in all aspects, from gaining leadership skills to navigating the complicated world of opinions and confrontation. It teaches you the importance of teamwork and overcoming challenges when confronted with adversity. SPIA is a way to set yourself up for the future, allowing you to reach for your dreams and turn to face them instead of turning away from them.
Do you need even more convincing?
Well. If you insist.
SPIA is the way to go if you want to change the world. I know, I know, that’s a big statement, right? But it is not an exaggeration. SPIA is one of the only majors that allows you to have a say in the global events that unfold right before your eyes. SPIA enables you to be in the room where it happens and be a part of the change. From ambassadors to politicians to business leaders to NGO employees, the future is wide open and ready for your contribution. If you have always dreamed of leaving the world a little better than you found it, then SPIA is the way to go. The sky’s the limit, and the world is yours for the taking. So go out there, chase that dream held up in your heart, and make it a reality. Be the leader and changemaker this world desperately needs, and bring hope to others. Be the one that others can look up to for advice and stability. Be the one that changes the narrative; do not be the one that erases it and lets it pass by. Be a part of SPIA.
Did that convince you? Are you ready to start your path in SPIA? Are you ready to make that change? Are you ready to take that leap?
If so, don’t hesitate. Don’t be afraid. People are here to guide you and ensure no one is left behind.
I hope that was enough to convince you to join SPIA and take a chance on the exceptional programs that it offers. If you want to be the change, it starts with SPIA.
