Congratulations to Aidan Leahy for being selected as MPA Student of the Month for April!

Aidan will graduate from the MPA program in May, specializing in Public Policy and Local Government Administration. A Double Dawg, he previously received a BA from UGA in 2023, pursuing research at the intersection of policy, technology, and the humanities. After a brief respite to travel post-graduation, he hopes to bring his passion for bringing people together to a career in city management.

Currently, Aidan works as a graduate assistant for the Jere W. Morehead Honors College, supporting the college’s facilitation of undergraduate research, major scholarships, and event management. During his time in Athens, Aidan has also performed independent research in educational policy, worked as an outreach intern for USDA, and served as a student leader at UGA’s Office of Global Engagement.

A 2-time medalist at the International Quizzing Olympiad, Aidan captained UGA’s championship-winning team on NBC’s College Bowl, though the university sadly denied his request to eat spaghetti out of the trophy. When not inundated with work, he enjoys going to concerts downtown, going on walks, or watching a movie at Ciné.
