Congratulations to Rebecca Chapman for being selected Public Administration and Policy’s September MPA Student of the Month!

Rebecca is in her second year of the MPA program, where she is specializing in Nonprofit Administration and Public Finance and Budgeting. She plans to graduate in December 2024. She currently works as a Financial Aid Advisor at the UGA Office of Student Financial Aid, where she oversees the disbursement of Federal Direct Loans and Federal Pell Grants. Rebecca plans to stay in public service and help nonprofits and government entities utilize strong business and sustainable financial practices to achieve their missions.

Rebecca was born and raised in rural Northeastern Colorado. She attended the University of Northern Colorado, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude with a B.S. in Business Administration, a B.A. in Economics, and a minor in Leadership Studies. During undergrad, she was a Logistics Manager and Communications Coordinator for Reach Mission Trips, a small nonprofit focused on home maintenance and repair in low-income communities.

Rebecca is grateful for the University of Georgia and the MPA program, and she is excited to see what the next chapter brings.
