As part of International Education Month, Public Administration and Policy is celebrating some of our outstanding international students. Meet Tanzia Mahbub Redi.

Tanzia is an international student from Bangladesh who will be graduating with a Master’s in Public Administration in December 2021. She is a development enthusiast with experience of working with foreign government and international development agencies and specializing her MPA in Public Policy. She worked with the Government of Bangladesh, the United Nations Development Program, and USAID between 2015 to 2019 before moving to the US.

During her time at UGA, she conducted several research papers and worked closely with professors on various social issues focusing on healthcare and economic development policy. She is currently working with UGA Archway Partnership and assisting the team in various economic development initiatives like developing community data profiles, federal opportunity zone analysis, and reporting on brownfield land usage of the Archway Communities.

Tanzia’s long-term career goal is to be a trusted advisor in the public sector, especially health and social policy.
