We all know that the world is connected and that there is so much out there to explore and fall in love with outside of the borders of Georgia and the United States. The world is so beautiful, and it is full of interesting and remarkable people. How could anyone not want to venture out into the world and discover more of its secrets and mysteries?

As SPIA majors, there are opportunities to study abroad in various locations worldwide. From England to Spain to South Africa, there is a program for everyone with everything that you could desire. If you have always dreamed of living abroad somewhere and getting to experience a different culture in a unique place, then studying abroad is for you. With first-rate professors and fun and exciting excursions, nothing can stop you from achieving your dreams and becoming more connected to the world around you!

You might be wondering, how is this relevant to me? Ever since applying to UGA, I have been looking at their study abroad options. I knew that it was something that I wanted to do during my time here. I wanted to experience living abroad somewhere and being in a different country for a while. I wanted to expand my knowledge about the world and feel like a part of something bigger. I found that in the Oxford program. Oxford has always been a dream of mine. I have always loved the culture, architecture, and libraries that reside there, and I knew I wanted to study there. UGA made that possible. This summer, I have the privilege of studying there for a month. I am so excited about it and cannot wait to experience life on the other side of the Atlantic for a while!

All this is to say that if you have a dream of studying abroad or getting to visit and know another country in this wide and beautiful world, UGA will help you make that happen. As a SPIA student, it is vital that we understand that this world is a united one, and we have to be where the change comes from. So, if you dream of changing the world by becoming more connected with others and perhaps discovering something about yourself, then take the leap and study abroad!

Apply and make your dreams come true!
