Wesley Bagwell graduated magna cum laude with a B.S. in Political Science from Troy University in 2023. He was honored as a member of the 87, which includes Juniors and Seniors who have excelled in both campus leadership and academics. Through his high performance in academics and through his leadership contributions to the Political Science Department, the University and the community, he was also awarded with the Outstanding Political Science Student of the Year Award. In addition, the Student Government Association honored him with the Senator of the Year award. He served in various leadership roles within the Student Government, volunteered for the Office of Civic Engagement, participated as a Senator in the Alabama YMCA Collegiate Legislature, and worked part-time as a Writing Center Tutor. His research interests include American government, comparative governments, electoral systems and electoral reforms.
