Master of Public Administration (MPA)

Growing up low income fostered an interest in economic development, social equality, and a mission to end critical disparities impacting rural Georgians. Before joining her current role in leadership with The New Generation Project, she interned with the Association of County Commissioners of Georgia. This experience expanded her knowledge of county-level issues by engaging with county staff and researching impactful legislation. Her regional dedication has not gone unnoticed as she was awarded the Coin to the city of Valdosta in 2020 for community engagement during the Census. No stranger to leadership, Kaylon acted as the Valdosta District Leader during the Ossoff/Warnock senate race and is a founding member of Blazers Vote Coalition. Despite her interest in local issues, she has previously interned in the U.S House of Representatives and the Georgia State Senate. Currently, she is studying both Public Administration and Urban Planning/Design.
