Master of Public Administration (MPA)
Mallory is the Emergency Management Planner for Hall County Government. Her focus is on writing, revising, and coordinating emergency management plans to include prevention, preparedness, response, recovery, and mitigation actions for Hall County and its eight municipalities, local public/private entities, and other non-governmental organizations. Mallory also plans and coordinates training and exercises to pull stakeholders together, and incorporates the After-Action Review/Improvement Planning process to county-wide planning efforts. Mallory attained the prestigious Certified Emergency Manager through the International Association of Emergency Managers; one of less than 2,500 people internationally to hold this certification. She recently graduated from Utah Valley University, with a B.S. in Emergency Services Administration. This comes as an extension of her dedicated career in public service. Previously, Mallory spent over 11 years as an EMT/Paramedic in pre-hospital EMS and healthcare settings, then began with Georgia Department of Public Health as the District 2 Emergency Preparedness Training & Exercise Coordinator, and promoted to Emergency Preparedness Specialist during the COVID-19 pandemic. During her time at District 2, Mallory found her passion in local government, leading to her current position and her desire of UGA’s MPA program. As a Georgia native with a hometown near Athens, Mallory is a lifelong UGA fan attending numerous sporting and social events. In her spare time, Mallory enjoys spending time with her husband, four year old son, and Goldendoodle.
