Dr. Grace Bagwell Adams, PhD alumna of the UGA Department of Public Administration and Policy 2013, just published an insightful piece coauthored with several other University of Georgia professors on  the trend of SNAP in Georgia. Specifically the research indicates that SNAP retailers in Georgia has doubled during the economic recession. This research will aid future SNAP policy decisions including one proposal to increase access of healthy foods to SNAP participants. To read more about their research check out the UGA News article.
