This Public Policy and Egalitarian Justice Conference, taking place April 3-6, 2025, at the Georgia Center, University of Georgia, will bring together leading scholars in political philosophy and policy studies to explore theoretical and practical implications of egalitarian justice on such issues as education, disability, anti-poverty, employment, and economic policy.
Our distinguished international lineup includes scholars from Princeton University, Washington University, Erasmus University, King’s College London, and more. The conference is directed by UGA’s own Alexander Kaufman, a leading expert on egalitarian justice whose books include Rawls’s Egalitarianism (Cambridge University Press) and Welfare in the Kantian State (Oxford University Press).
The Public Policy and Egalitarian Justice Conference is supported by a Grant from the Office of the Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost. Additional support is provided by the Albert B. Saye Fund, the Department of Political Science, and the School of Public and International Affairs
