SPIA alumnus Tod Aronovitz (AB ‘71) will be awarded with the Florida’s Anti-Defamation League’s 2021 Jurisprudence Award in March 2021. The award is given to those leaders in the legal community who have fought for civil rights across the State of Florida. Since graduating from SPIA, Mr. Aronovitz has specialized in class action litigation, whistleblower law, medical malpractice, and personal injury law. He founded Aronovitz Law firm in 1988, where many of his cases have set legal precedent in the State of Florida. Mr. Aronovitz served as the president of the Florida Bar Association, guest lecturer for several law schools, and author of publications on the subjects of trial law and other complex issues in Florida. In 2002, Mr. Aronovitz established the “Dignity in Law” program, which seeks to improve public education and perception of lawyers; the program remains a part of the Florida Bar’s communication efforts. The Florida ADL’s Jurisprudence Award is one of many honors and distinctions that Mr. Aronovitz has received over the course of his career, including being selected as one of Florida’s top lawyers by the American Society of Legal Advocates (ASLA), as well as being a member of the National Association of Distinguished Counsel, an honor only the top one percent of attorneys in the United States enjoy.

SPIA would like to offer our sincerest congratulations to Mr. Aronovitz for this award.
