NASPAA (Network of Schools of Public Policy, Affairs, and Administration) recently announced the 2015 award recipients for Outstanding Achievement in Public Service and three of those awards winners come from the University of Georgia. Tyler Scott, who recently joined the department as an Assistant Professor won the Best Dissertation Award for “Do All of These Meetings Matter? Three Essays Concerning the Impact of Collaborative Watershed Governance”. Hal Rainey, Alumni Foundation Distinguished Professor, won the William Duncombe Excellence in Doctoral Education Award. A PhD student, Jekyung Lee, won the Pi Alpha Alpha Doctoral Manuscript Award for his paper “Goal Ambiguity and Job Satisfaction in U.S. Federal Agencies”. NASPAA’s twofold mission is to ensure excellence in education and training for public service and to promote the ideal of public service. Congratulations to our three NASPAA award winners!
