October 2024 MPA Student of the Month: Kendall Brantley

Congratulations to Kendall Brantley for being selected as October MPA Student of the Month!

Kendall Brantley is an MPA student in her last semester of the program. In her time in the MPA program, Kendall developed a love for public service and local government work. Kendall truly enjoys the classes she has taken in the program and has completed many projects throughout her semesters here, including a site selection presentation and a presentation about homelessness in cities across America. This summer, she interned with the Athens Downtown Development Authority, researching successful methodology used by comparable cities to solve and address municipal issues. She used her knowledge and expertise from one of her favorite classes, Urban Policy, to help guide and understand local-level problems and potential solutions. Kendall was selected to travel to Seoul, South Korea this month with the MPA program to study local government practices there. Outside of class, Kendall is the events chair for the International City/County Management Association, where she has the opportunity to connect students with local government professionals around Athens and Georgia. Kendall has maintained a 3.94 GPA and plans to work in local government following her graduation in December.
