Baldwin Hall Construction Update

Baldwin Hall Construction Update

Construction at Baldwin Hall is underway and is slated to be complete by May 2017. The roughly $8 million project, with funding provided by the Georgia General Assembly, includes construction of a 10,800-square-foot Baldwin Hall Annex and renovations to the existing building.

In order to complete the renovation and addition, many faculty members will be temporarily relocated to different offices around campus. For a list of faculty members teaching summer classes and their current office numbers, click here.

Please note that the main office for the Department of Political Science will be relocated to 302 Baldwin Hall. The phone number for the office will stay the same: 706-542-2057.

We thank you in advance for your understanding and patience as we complete this project that will provide much needed classroom and meeting space for SPIA students and faculty.

—–The new annex will provide the school with technology-enabled active learning classrooms; space for graduate teaching assistants to hold office hours with undergraduate students; and common areas for faculty, staff, students and alumni to convene for academic discussions, presentations and events. The existing building will be renovated to provide academic departments with modern instructional facilities, greater accessibility for individuals with disabilities and a more efficient mechanical system.
