The trainees came from China’s Ministry of Defense, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Chinese Academy of International Trade and Economic Cooperation, and Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The program covered all major topics regarding strategic trade controls. Michael Beck was the leader of the instructional team, which included most of the Center’s research staff. The fellows also attended joint training sessions with delegations from China North Industries Corporation and China Machinery Engineering Corporation. By connecting these different stakeholders, CITS will help build a global academic network to produce first-class research, maintain world security, and facilitate global trade.
