In its third year on campus, the UGA Moot Court Team is already having a great deal of success.
In October, the team hosted the First Annual UGA Invitational Tournament. Thirty two teams from eight schools attended the two-day conference that was sponsored by Dentons US LLP, the UGA Law School, and the School of Public and International Affairs.
In November, the team competed in the Orlando Regional Tournament. After the first day of the tournament, five UGA Mooters received top speaker awards and one of the UGA teams was awarded the number 1 overall seed for the elimination rounds on the second day. The team continued to perform well on the second day of the tournament. Two teams advanced to the Elite 8 and qualified for the National Tournament in January.
In future years, the team hopes to expand as an organization and build upon their growing list of accomplishments.
