Local Nonprofit Fuels Pre-Finals Coffee Break

On Reading Day, SPIA hosted its second annual “Pups and Perks” event. For the students, staff and faculty at SPIA, the day before finals is a hectic time. What better way to relax and refuel than with some sweet pups and a warm cup of coffee. This year, the coffee was catered by Java Joy (http://javajoy.org/), a coffee cart run by people with disabilities keeping companies fueled with joy. The “joyristas” of Java Joy greeted each student, staff and faculty member with a hug, fueling everyone with the joy they needed to get started with finals week.
