Master of International Policy (MIP)

Bridgett is a graduate student studying international policy at the University of Georgia. She considers herself a lifelong learner, seeking to gain knowledge and experience not only in the classroom, but in her work and daily life. She is interested in pursuing a career in national security, specifically in trade security, non-proliferation, and nuclear security.

Bridgett began her graduate studies with the Center for International Trade and Security as an undergraduate student in the Double Dawgs program. After graduating with First Honors from the University of Georgia with a degree in international affairs and a minor in Mandarin Chinese, she joined CITS as a full-time graduate student. 

While in undergrad, Bridgett primarily focused on studying human rights and factors that impacted the enjoyment of human rights . She interned with the Human Rights Measurement Initiative (HRMI) and participated in the GLOBIS Human Rights research lab where she researched the relationship between foreign direct investment and human rights. Now in graduate school, Bridgett is interested in expanding her research base into factors that impact human and national security including trade security, non-proliferation, and nuclear security. 

Outside of the classroom, Bridgett has an interest in foreign languages. She has been studying Mandarin Chinese for five years, and has just started learning Spanish with the hopes of using these skills for travel!

Bridgett is a First Honor Graduate from the University of Georgia. First Honor Graduates are recognized as having completed a baccalaureate degree with a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 4.0 across all coursework.
