Master of Public Administration (MPA)

Rakib has spent more than a decade working in the crossroads of social innovation, technology, policy and communication, as part of the leadership team of BRAC, one of the largest NGOs in the world. Rakib led innovation, strategy and growth for a portfolio of BRAC’s programs in financial inclusion, climate change, women’s empowerment, education, health and youth among others. He also managed the Social Innovation Lab, which worked as a knowledge and experimentation hub within the organization. During his tenure at the lab, he managed a portfolio of projects including mobile financial services, digital tools for development, youth development and institutionalizing human-centered design principles. One of his focuses during this time was also on scaling successful social innovations and identifying segments in the market with high growth potential for BRAC’s emerging social enterprises. Rakib has been recognized for his work by the Acumen Fund as a Fellow and as a mentor for young innovators as part of UN Global Compact’s Young SDG Innovators Programme. He is an alumnus of Unleash — an innovation lab to design breakthrough solutions to meet the SDGs.
