Master of Public Administration (MPA)
Driven by a commitment to social justice and informed by her Ukrainian heritage, Mariya Gebura brings a unique perspective to both international and domestic politics. Her passion for advocacy extends beyond academics, as demonstrated through her internships with the New York State Senate and a local community board in Brooklyn, as well as her volunteer experience with mutual aid organizations. In these roles, Mariya developed actionable solutions for her community, including drafting legislation to ensure tenant protections are accessible to residents regardless of language background. Through the MPA program at the University of Georgia, she aims to build on this foundation to advance social justice initiatives, focusing particularly on housing advocacy and creating systemic change for underrepresented populations.
