Master of Public Administration (MPA)

Emerson Moon is originally from Conyers, Georgia. They graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Georgia spring of 2024, where they majored in social work. During their time at UGA they completed two internships within the UGA and greater Athens communities. They served in a Direct Services Intern role at Project Safe, Inc. a local domestic violence agency to aiding in the relief of those experiencing intimate partner violence and in need of resources. Their other internship involved serving on behalf of Planned Parenthood Southeast, with which they identified community need surrounding abortion access, and aided in providing over two thousand dose of emergency contraception to the UGA community. It is through this work among other experiences that they found interest in wanting to impact change at a greater level through policy analysis upon completing their MPA.
