SPIA ALUMNI RECEPTION IN WASHINGTON, D.C.

Hosted annually each fall, the SPIA Alumni Reception in Washington D.C. provides an opportunity for alumni living in our nation’s capital to reconnect with fellow alumni, SPIA staff, faculty, and friends.

The Present and Future of National Intelligence

the Hon. James R. Clapper, Former Director of National Intelligence
and
Loch K. Johnson, University of Georgia Regents Professor Emeritus of Public and International Affairs
 moderated by
Greg Myre, NPR National Security Correspondent

 

Former Director of National Intelligence James R. Clapper and celebrated national intelligence expert Dr. Loch K. Johnson will discuss present and future policy and political environments for national intelligence in the United States.

This event will also honor contributors to the Loch and Leena Johnson Georgia Commitment Scholarship. The Johnson Scholarship supports undergraduates with financial need who attend the University of Georgia and recognizes Dr. Johnson’s and Leena Johnson’s 40 years of service to UGA, Athens, and Georgia.
