Keesha Middlemass (MA ’98, PhD ’04) Talk – “Convicted & Condemned: The Politics and Policies of Prisoner Reentry”

February 12, 2021 @ 2:30 pm - 3:30 pm

Dr. Middlemass will discuss her award-winning book, which examines prisoner reentry using multiple methods – ethnography and participant observations, interviews, focus groups, policy analysis, and archival research – to examine how public policies shape returning citizens’ lives after they have served time in prison and how a felony conviction has created a sub-class of people who are socially disabled, which hinders reentry.

This talk will be online via Zoom on Friday, February 12 from 2:30pm to 3:30pm. Please register here: https://gail.uga.edu/events/spia/padp-diversity-inclusion-series-dr-middlemass
