Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Political Science & International Affairs

Taher Benany is a PhD student at the School of Public Affairs and Policy at the University of Georgia. In 2019, he received a Fulbright Scholarship to study at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. Taher practiced international law for over six years before transitioning to academia. His research interests focus on the intersection of international law and international affairs, specifically how states use international law outside the courtroom. Taher is currently the associate director of the Dean Rusk International Law at the School of Law at UGA.
