Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Political Science & International Affairs

Peyton Baxley is a doctoral student at the University of Georgia. Her main research interests include media portrayals of human rights abuses, NGOs’ role in international affairs, and international human rights law. She attended the College of Charleston for her undergraduate degrees in International Studies and English Literature. She graduated summa cum laude with a degree from the Honors College in 2023. Peyton then attended Columbia University, earning a Master’s in Human Rights Studies which culminated in her thesis entitled “’Let every eye negotiate for itself and trust no agent’: Engineered Ownership in Human Rights Photography” Her degree was conferred October 2024.
