Master of Public Administration (MPA)
Brooke Curran is from Pottsville, Pennsylvania. She graduated summa cum laude from Shippensburg University in 2024 with a major in political science and minor in public service. In her education at Shippensburg, she took relevant courses on the political scene at the federal level as well as state and local levels. She completed an internship for the Pennsylvania Municipal League, a nonpartisan organization that advocates for policy to better serve all citizens, which sparked her interest in state and local government. In the summer of 2023, Brooke served as a student mentor for the Study of the U.S. Institutes (SUSI) program, in which Shippensburg University hosted 20 European collegiate level students to learn about environmental issues. She also participated in the initiative Students for Shapiro to encourage college students to register to vote and elect PA Governor Josh Shapiro. Brooke also worked as a tutor in the University Learning Center, specializing in academic writing and Intro to U.S. Government courses.
