Babakura is a seasoned protocol manager and international protocol consultant, certified by the Protocol School of Washington, D.C., with a strong background in corporate etiquette and global protocol practices. Over the course of more than 23 years, he has built his career within Nigeria’s Presidential Villa, rising through the ranks through consistent performance and dedication.
His experience spans protocol, consular, and administrative duties at the highest level of government. Since 2002, he has worked closely with every Director of Protocol in the Office of the Vice President as Executive Assistant, and since 2001, he has, at various times, served as Acting Protocol Liaison Officer to all four successive Vice Presidents, including during the tenure of the Acting President of Nigeria in 2010.
Babakura has travelled extensively across all continents and brings a global perspective on protocol and diplomacy. Known for being strategic, collaborative, and detail-oriented, he has a proven track record in planning high-level events and official engagements. His work is supported by strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, and he approaches every task with a creative, cross-disciplinary mindset. He is also an effective communicator, fluent in spoken and written English.
