Andrew Stone is a PhD student in the School of Public and International Affairs. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from the Ohio University Honors Tutorial College with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a certificate in Law, Justice, and Culture. During his time at Ohio University, Andrew consistently appeared on the Dean’s List and maintained a GPA of 4.0. In May 2019, he was inducted into the Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society in recognition of achieving a GPA of 3.5 or higher in his first year of higher education. In 2021, Andrew was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa and received the Thomas A. Wolfe Award for having the highest GPA among Phi Beta Kappa inductees. In 2021, Andrew became one of the founders of the Ohio University Chapter of BridgeUSA, an organization which encourages college students to be active participants in American democracy through thoughtful, empathetic, and honest discussion from across the ideological spectrum. Andrew also served as Vice President of the Ohio University Chapter of Bridge USA from 2021 until his graduation in 2022. On April 7, 2021, Andrew presented his honors thesis entitled “American E-Democracy: The Importance of Online Political Radicals in Shaping Contemporary Politics in the United States” at The Ohio University Student Research and Creative Activity Expo.
