Public Administration and Policy is supporting The Food Bank of Northeast Georgia as our October Nonprofit of the Month! Help us support them by dropping off donations of food in our office (204 Baldwin hall) now through the end of October!

The Food Bank of Northeast Georgia has been around since 1992 when they were founded in an effort to end hunger in fourteen counties. After a relocation, expansion, and adding a second location, the Food Bank now distributes more than 13 million pounds of food to the fourteen counties they serve every year. They work with around 200 partner organizations. They also have a teaching kitchen, commercial kitchen, and frozen food processing line.

The Food Bank of Northeast Georgia offers a great deal of assistance to the community, so please step in and help them out by sharing a few cans of food or other items that would be much appreciated by another. For every dollar the food bank receives, they are able to distribute 4 meals, so you may also want to consider making a monetary donation.

We invite you to bring any non-perishable food items you are able to share to our main office in 204 Baldwin Hall.
