Jack Ford, an Emmy and Peabody Award-winning journalist, educator, documentary producer, trial attorney, and bestselling author, has had a distinguished career spanning journalism, law, and academia. Raised in New Jersey by a single parent, he excelled at Yale University both academically and athletically, later earning his law degree from Fordham University School of Law. His journey from the courtroom to television journalism began in 1984 as a legal analyst for WCBS-TV in New York, leading to notable roles at NBC News and ABC News, where he anchored shows like “20/20” and “Good Morning America.”
Currently, Jack serves as a host on PBS’s “Metro Focus” and was previously a correspondent for CBS News’s “60 Minutes Sports.” His contributions to media extend beyond broadcasting, including co-founding American Ed TV. Jack’s legal career was equally illustrious, marked by high-profile cases such as the Northeast’s first death penalty trial and the Wall Street insider trading scandal. He is also a respected educator, having taught at institutions like Yale University and Fordham University.
Jack is the author of three novels and has been honored with multiple awards, including three Emmys and a George Foster Peabody Award. He is actively involved in charitable causes and holds leadership roles in organizations such as the National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame.
