Here are a few of my favorite things that have little or nothing to do with political science.

Given my home location just outside of Athens, Georgia, I am able to maintain a small garden and raise a few chickens. Due to some poor planning on my part, I also have a bird dog. When my wife and I shared our home with our two sons, it all seemed quite idyllic.

I enjoy the arts - visual and musical.

In my spare time, I enjoy practicing martial arts - particularly tae kwon do. I am proud to say that I have achieved the rank of average. I am also proud to be affiliated with Live Oak Martial Arts, which is filled with fun and talented people and guided by a truly gifted instructor.

Here are some little known and entirely inconsequential facts about me. I once met Wayne Knight, better known as Newman on Seinfeld. He didn't recognize me. When I was in high school, I met Chuck Berry. He didn't recognize me either.
