Michael S. Lynch

Michael S. Lynch is an associate professor in the Department of Political Science, located in the School of Public and International Affairs at the University of Georgia.

He earned his B.S from Baker University and his A.M. and Ph.D. from Washington University in St. Louis.

He teaches courses on American politics and political methodology. His research focuses on congressional politics, presidential politics, and separation of powers.

His work has appeared in journals such as Journal of Politics, Legislative Studies Quarterly, and Political Analysis. He recently co-edited the second edition of New Directions in Congressional Politics with his UGA colleague Jamie L. Carson.
