Master of Public Administration (MPA)

William Gordon is a MPA student at the University of Georgia interested in International policy, United States diplomacy, and leadership positions in government. He obtained a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Western Carolina University (WCU) in the spring of 2024. During his time at WCU William took several courses such as Model United Nations I & II, US Foreign Policy, and International Security which gave him a foundation in political theory at the International level. William also has managerial experience in the private sector thanks to a job held throughout his time at Western Carolina. Additionally, William has leadership experience which he obtained from his undergraduate fraternity, serving on its executive council from spring 2022 until fall 2023.

I have experience in Political Theory, Political Analysis, and International policy as a result of my time at WCU. I have taken a wide range of classes that required me to do quantitative research, policy analysis, and writing. As well as my major in Political Science I also achieved a minor in Leadership which has given me a foundation in formal Leadership Theories.

Career Goals

As of the time of writing, I hope to have a career in the Federal Government of the United States. I am heavily interested in the Department of Defence, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and the Department of State.
