Tate Mitchell is currently a freshman at UGA. He discovered his passion for the public arena at a very young age in high school and has since sought out every opportunity possible to become further involved in the field with the hopes of making an impact. As a first year, he thought about many things he wants to do when he leaves Athens as a graduate, including things such as law and public service. That being said, he has discovered one of his most fervent, long-held passions it to get involved in in the area of political speechwriting and communications with the hope of serving in public office later down the road. He has always been fascinated by the word’s ability to shape a message, image, and idea in politics as well as the public’s response to it, and he hopes to hone that craft in order to make a meaningful difference for real people throughout his professional career.
