Master of Public Administration (MPA)

Sydney is passionate about serving people who feel unseen and unheard, and it is apparent in everything she does. Since her time in high school, she has devoted countless hours to organizations committed to making a change in the community. She worked for Valley Rescue Mission: Home for Women and Children throughout high school and has since brought the skills she developed there to Project Safe, Inc. in Athens, GA. Here, she is a Breaking Silence Intern, aiding in the research and distribution of vital information on the dynamic of dating violence to teens and young adults in the area. After interning for Superior Court Judge Ben Land, she has committed to pursuing a career in family law where she believes she will truly be able to make a difference in the lives of women and children.

Educational Experiences

As an honors student at the University of Georgia, I am simultaneously working towards obtaining a B.S. of Psychology and Master’s in Public Administration. After graduation, I plan to attend law school.

I plan on combining my degrees in a family law career where I can advocate for children in divorce and custody cases and women in domestic abuse cases.
