Honors, Awards, and Achievements

As I already mentioned, my grades were up to par for me to be consecutively recognized on the Dean’s List throughout my undergraduate semesters. I am a Double Dawgs participant earning my bachelor’s and master’s degree at the same time. Not only that, but I have also completed my BA in International Affairs in three years and will have completed my MIP degree in only four. I am proud of my dedication to my education here. This past spring the club I was serving as the Vice President for Breaking the Shackles student organization. We successfully put on a benefit concert raising hundreds of dollars for our partner charity, Wellspring Living. A few years ago, I was selected to represent my home county at the annual Georgia Girls State mock governmental program sponsored by the American Legion Auxiliary. This opportunity challenged me to compete for various state- level government positions by campaigning and participate in Georgia’s Congressional processes.

Research Interests

Counterterrorism, terrorism, human security, human rights

I am interested in all things terrorism/ counter-terrorism. I really enjoy learning specifically the psychological/ sociological approaches to terrorism and using that information to form strategic resolutions to these areas. Although this is my top research interest, I am working to involve myself in opportunities that are more operations- oriented rather than analysis based. I want to be very involved in the execution of counter-terrorism.
