Sarah Courtney

Master of Public Administration (MPA)

As an undergrad at UGA, I was a member of Golden Key Honor Society, Delta Epsilon Iota, and Pi Lambda Theta. I was also an active member of UGA’s Pan Dawgs, and participated in the Redcoat Marching Band. After 4 exciting years in Athens, I graduated Magna Cum Laude with Honors with an A.B. in History and a B.S.Ed. in Social Studies Education. Post-graduation, I earned State Teacher Certification in 8 Middle and High School academic areas, and earned an in-field endorsement for teaching Gifted Students.

Since my graduation, I have been working as an educator and substitute teacher with Fulton County Schools, as well as serving the community with the Marietta Museum of History and North Fulton Community Charities. For the last three years, I have been a Middle School Social Studies teacher. In my second year of teaching, I was made Content Area Leader, and in my third year, I was selected as Department Co-Chair for the Social Studies Department at my school.
