Master of Public Administration (MPA)

Rebecca was born and raised in rural Northeastern Colorado. She attended the University of Northern Colorado, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude with degrees in Business Administration and Economics and a minor in Leadership Studies. After working as a Logistics Manager for Reach Mission Trips, she fell in love with the nonprofit sector and its capacity to create change. She hopes to use her practical business and finance skills to help nonprofits achieve positive outcomes for the communities they serve. She’s particularly passionate about work that benefits children, especially foster children. Rebecca currently works at UGA as a Financial Aid Advisor.

Educational Experiences

Rebecca served as the Finely-Ledall Research Fellow in 2020, where she assisted Monfort College of Business Faculty with their research projects. She competed in the International Collegiate Business Strategy Competition, where her team was the Runner-Up, and her team won 1st Place in the Monfort College of Business Ethics Case Competition.

Career Goals

Rebecca plans to graduate with her MPA and then join the Nonprofit Sector, specifically working as a Program Coordinator for a nonprofit that works to serve children and young adults from disadvantaged backgrounds. She believes in the power of education, mentorship, and service to decrease education and achievement gaps
