Master of Public Administration (MPA)

I grew up in Clemson, South Carolina in a family of four.  I attended local Montessori schools up through middle school, then attended a small boarding school near Ashville for high school.  After inconsistent success in my first stint of undergrad, I switched to helping my father, who had a Parkinson’s like disease before his passing, for a few years.  Since returning to school in the spring of 2014, my success has been both greater than it was before leaving school and far more consistent, consistently earning a 3.5 or greater GPA.  Furthermore, I have successfully worked to help my community the last few summers, helping a non-profit near Clemson to organize its more than 3000 book collection the summer of 2016.  The next summer, I helped an organization that is part of a nearby city government with its task of providing support to the city’s residents in terms of activities and attracting tourists and people to the city.   Finally, the most recent summer, I assisted a nearby campaign for the South Carolina State House with both policy and opposition research.

Research Interests

I am largely unsure of what I am most interested in researching.  My main goal is to determine how to best understand how to serve the community and how to ensure that services are made as available to the community as possible.
