BA- University of Georgia 2019 International Affairs, minor in Communication Studies

During my time at the University of Georgia, I was fortunate enough to study abroad in South Africa where I took courses relating to South African society and sustainable development. While in South Africa, I volunteered at a nonprofit operating in a township outside of Stellenbosch. I was traveled to Zimbabwe and Botswana during my time abroad. This experience gave me perspective on global health and sustainable development issues that the developing world faces today. Also, I was able to begin graduate level courses while completing my undergraduate degree. This has exposed me to great career and internship opportunities. This past summer, I interned with the U.S. State Department in Gaborone, Botswana where I worked in the American Embassy. I greatly enjoyed working first hand with American foreign policy and seeing the impact of foreign service officers in other countries.

More About

Career goals:
I aspire to work in global health or sustainable development after I receive my MPA. While I am leaning towards fulfilling this goal through working for the Federal government, I am also exploring working for a nonprofit as well. I plan on either moving to Washington D.C. after graduation or staying in Atlanta.

Work experience:

I have interned for a Atlanta mayoral campaign in 2017, interned for the Atlanta Women’s Foundation in 2018, and interned for the U.S. State Department in 2019.
