Michael Rabalais

Master of Public Administration (MPA)

Michael is a Master’s candidate in UGA’s Public Administration program. Before beginning his post-graduate education, he worked for 5 years at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida, as a frontline Cast Member, facilitator, trainer and coordinator. He was recognized as an outstanding trainer in December of 2015. After leaving Disney, he began work with Georgia 4-H as a program specialist, doing graphic design work, social media, event planning, web maintenance and more. In 2018, he curated, managed and launched Best Better, a literary magazine showcasing the art, photography and writing of Georgia 4-H’s youth.

Additionally, Michael worked on Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign as a community organizing fellow. Registering voters, organizing volunteers and getting personal with marginalized voices in his community piqued an interest in public service, and he hopes to stoke his passion for service and representation as an MPA student. Outside of school, Michael is passionate about music, politics, NBA basketball and cooking.
