Mckinley, originally from Bucktown, Pennsylvania, is a recent graduate of the University of Tennessee Knoxville with a B.A. in Political Science. She graduated Summa Cum Laude after completing two honors programs, 1794 and Chancellors. Her Chancellor’s Honors Program allowing her to complete her undergraduate thesis “Disney Princess Films: Feminist Movements and the Changing of Gender Roles” and in being able to meet with Members of Parliament whilst studying Politics abroad in London. She was also and is now an alumni member of the University of Tennessee Pride of the Southland Marching Band where she played clarinet and performed with such persons as Dolly Parton, Lee Greenwood, and His Majesty’s Royal Marines. She is also a lifetime member of the Girl Scouts. She loves to read and write. Her research interests include Political Behavior, Gender, Media, and Political Philosophy.
