Master of Public Administration (MPA)

Max Simpson is a Political Science Major enrolled in the University of Georgia Honors College. He is currently pursuing his Master of Public Administration and Policy and will graduate in 2022. As an undergraduate, I have embraced challenge and prioritized serving in the community where I live, whether on or off campus. This summer, I have been interning at GovDirections, a procurement database. Last summer, I interned aboard in Israel by assisting an immigration nonprofit by composing mass newsletters and invitations to then be distributed to the stakeholders. As social chairman of my fraternity, I proudly served as a representative of UGA Greek Life while planning exciting events for my friends. I have also devoted the past two years to the US Guide Dog Foundation, raising and training a black Labrador in Athens who will soon become a full-time assistance dog. In the summers, I returned to my childhood summer camp as a staff member in hopes of creating memories with the campers. My current work at Chick-fil-A has provided a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, where I am always solving problems and providing customer service. Overall, I believe strongly in the public sector and would like to do good in the world.
