Mathilde Carpet is a fourth year undergraduate student majoring in International Affairs with minors in Political Science and Spanish. She hopes that completing this certificate will help further advance her writing abilities in order to round out her capabilities. She has fully committed to the campaign side of politics – she volunteered on the Jon Ossoff campaign, ran Operations for the Chalis Montgomery for Congress campaign, and then went on to hold the same position for Jonathan Wallace in his campaign for re-election in State House District 119. She is also completing the Spencer Frye Fellowship and will have the opportunity to travel to the Capitol during the spring legislative session. As a first-generation American, she feels a strong connection to her parents’ homeland of Belgium. Upon graduating in May, Mathilde hopes to move to DC and work on the House Foreign Affairs Committee.
