Master of Public Administration (MPA)
Mary Hunt recently graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Georgia with a BSES in Environmental Economics and Management, AB in Ecology, and a Minor in Environmental Law. Mary worked during the week at Snelling Dining Commons the entirety of her undergrad career and spent two semesters as a Research Assistant in the Department of Plant Biology. Mary spent a month traveling the contentious Apalachicola-Chattahoochee-Flint River Basin meeting various stakeholders and analyzing the specific strategies and problems associated with large scale cooperation and problem-solving. Additionally, she worked with Athens-Clarke County and Butts County Water Treatment to assess the new issue of microplastics and their impacts on human and environmental health as well as potential policies that could help combat this pollution. Mary has a passion for environmental issues and hopes to be a part of potential solutions that come from public service.
