Master of Public Administration (MPA)

Born and raised in Olsztyn, Poland, Maja moved to Athens in 2006. She’s a proud graduate of the Clarke County School District who started her long journey at the University of Georgia in the Fall of 2013. Maja graduated Cum Laude from the University of Georgia in the Fall of 2016 with a degree in International Affairs and a minor in Spanish. Maja has spent the past five years working full-time at the University of Georgia Office of Student Financial Aid. She started her career in Financial Aid in 2014 as a Financial Aid Peer Counselor and now manages a team of eight employees as the Assistant Director of the Eligibility Determination and Program Management area. Maja will pursue her MPA part-time as she continues to work full-time as a state employee with the University of Georgia.

Educational Experiences

While pursuing her undergraduate degree, Maja participated in the the UGA at Oxford program in the Spring of 2015. The SPIA program did not only allow Maja to travel back across the Pond but also presented a great opportunity to work with renowned UGA faculty like Dean Emeritus, Thomas P. Lauth. In her last semester of college, Maja participated in the Washington Semester Program. She worked as the Press and Scheduling Intern with the Office of Senator Johnny Isakson.
