Master of Public Administration (MPA)

Born and raised in Athens, Loran graduated from Clarke Central High School in 2013 before enrolling at the University of Georgia. He graduated with bachelor’s degrees in both International Affairs and Political Science in 2017.

His work experience included stints in the U.S. Senate and local campaign politics when he began employment at the University of Georgia in 2018. He spent two years at the UGA College of Pharmacy, working as an administrative specialist in the Dean’s Office. In 2020, he started a new role with Development and Alumni Relations’ communications office. As a communications associate, he manages projects and writes content to engage UGA stakeholders and promote fundraising initiatives for five units.

As a full-time state employee and part-time MPA student, Loran hopes to develop an expertise that will enrich his work at UGA while also preparing him for a future career in government administration or nonprofit management.

You can find Loran spending his off hours day-tripping around North Georgia with his wife, Rebecca, and their three dogs.
