Master of Public Administration (MPA)
Lee-Ann Johnson grew up in Jonesboro, Georgia. As a teenager, she began to discover her passion for both the history and inner workings of American government through discussions with her father and researching and learning information through short-form videos, podcasts, essays, and news articles. While she was in high school, Lee-Ann discovered her great interest and thought about the potential for a U.S. government-related career, as she enjoyed and succeeded in various AP courses related to U.S. government and history. After simultaneously graduating high school and receiving an Associate of Arts in Integrative Studies from Clayton State University in 2018, Lee-Ann chose to attend the University of Georgia (UGA) and major in Political Science. She also chose to pursue minors in Communication Studies and Public Policy and Management, the latter of which formally introduced her to UGA’s Master of Public Administration (MPA) program. In 2020, Lee-Ann decided to become a Double Dawg student and successfully began her studies within the MPA program, which solidified her choice to become an MPA student following her undergraduate studies. In 2021, Lee-Ann successfully graduated from UGA with her bachelor’s degree and is actively pursuing the goal of receiving her third post-secondary degree in four years. She will be pursuing her MPA with a specialization in Public Management/Organization Theory.
