Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Political Science & International Affairs

Kevin Spann is a doctoral candidate and teaching assistant in the Department of Political Science at the University of Georgia. He received his Masters in Public Administration from Jacksonville State University in 2016 and began his PhD studies at UGA the following semester. His research and teaching interests include American politics with an emphasis on southern politics, legislative politics, and elections.

Kevin Spann has been a teaching assistant and PhD student at the University of Georgia since the fall of 2016. Prior to his time at UGA Kevin Spann worked as a teaching assistant at Jacksonville State University while pursuing his Masters in Public Administration. Kevin Spann’s teaching and research specialties are in American politics with an emphasis on southern politics. In addition to teaching Kevin Spann has contributed extensively to the Online Encyclopedia of Alabama with historical profiles on the states members of Congress.
